Of Studs and a few mares

It was the first group run that I'd organized in all the years that I've been running. Of course there was the occassional long run that we did as Aarey runners, but those were more "disorganized". There were a lot of enthusiastic runners that included Ashok, Srinivas, Rohit, Kavin, Madhu, Roshni, Rajesh, Santosh, Sunil, Sohanlal, Sripad, Francis, Amit, Apurba, Allen, Punit and Anand.

We lost a little time waiting for those that were late or didn't know the start point. However, as soon as we began our run, it was pure exhilaration. Soon the group broke up into the fast & furious and the stragglers. But, nobody cared about it because they were enjoying themselves. There were some like Francis that had not run more than 6K and yet ran 16K for the first time!

We spent some time, post-run, to Hi-5, exchange notes and take pics. The only element missing was the opportunity to drink coffee or grab a bite at a nice cafe, out in the valley:-) I wish there was that kind of a cafe, as Ric tells me he goes to, in Seattle - its a cafeteria-cum-shoe store! Well, next time I will have to find a place where we can eat idlis and drink "Madras" coffee:-) Our web page for runners was innundated with compliments and so many queries on how to enhance endurance. The bug has bitten everyone, its a matter of time before the fever reaches a peak and gets everyone to hallucinate!:-))
